How to list your business on directories, step by step
Answer engines repeat what independent pages say about you. A directory listing is one of those pages, and it is one you can create yourself. This guide walks through each directory: where to start, what to have ready, what to paste, and how you know it is done.
Our own example: the text below is what we paste, word for word, on every directory we list AEO Analyzers on.
Our own listing text
Name: AEO Analyzers
Company: PIGENAI LLC
Website: https://aeoanalyzers.com
Short: Measures what AI answer engines say when buyers ask for a recommendation.
Long: AEO Analyzers measures what ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini (plus Grok on Pro and Business) say when buyers ask for a recommendation in your category. Every answer is stored, every result names its engine panel, and being found by name is reported separately from being recommended. Built by PIGENAI LLC in Kansas City, Missouri. Founder: Lindsay Hiebert.
Pricing: Freemium, linked to https://aeoanalyzers.com/pricing. No price figures in any listing.
No method can guarantee that an engine will recommend you. These are steps that put you where engines look. Customers on Pro and Business get this guide filled in with their own facts, the directories engines cite for their category, and a tracking table their Record fills in.
