What You Actually Get: The Action Plan Inside Every Citation Sweep

Your customers have started asking ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude who to buy from. Most businesses have never seen those answers. Some are being recommended. Most are absent — and a competitor is being named instead.

Plenty of tools will now tell you that this is happening. They count your mentions, chart your visibility, and leave you with a dashboard and a question: okay — what do I actually do?

That question is what AEO Analyzers is built to answer. A Citation Sweep doesn’t end at a score. It ends at an action plan with five layers, each one answering “what do I change, and where?” Here’s exactly what you walk away with.

1. Code fixes your web team can paste in

The engines read structure before they read prose, so your AEO Analyzers report starts with the machine-readable groundwork: verified JSON-LD schema written for your pages — organization, product, FAQ — with a clear line between what’s confirmed working and what’s a candidate to add. When the sweep finds identity problems (more on those below), you also get the entity-graph corrections that resolve them. It’s packaged as an implementation roadmap plus a handoff email you can forward to your web team as-is.

2. Corrections for what AI gets wrong about you

Being mentioned isn’t the same as being described accurately. Every branded answer in your sweep is checked against your site’s own record and classified: accurate, drifted from the facts, or confused with another entity entirely. When engines are mixing you up with similarly named companies, tickers, or tools, the report names the exact entities you’re being confused with — and pairs the finding with the remediation that resolves it. We built this layer because it happened to us: an engine once invented a co-founder for this company. We found it, traced it, and fixed it — and then turned the method into a feature.

3. An off-site plan built from real citations

When engines answer questions in your category, they lean on specific third-party sources — and your sweep shows you exactly which ones, drawn from the actual citations in your query space, in priority order: where you need an accurate listing, where a mention is worth pursuing. The guidance follows one firm rule: first-party and legitimate only. Keep the canonical version of your content on your own domain and syndicate with attribution. We will never recommend hosting your content on someone else’s high-authority domain to borrow its ranking — that tactic has a crash risk we document rather than sell.

4. A battle-map of the questions that matter

The sweep asks the engines real buyer questions — branded and unbranded — multiple times each, across all four major engines, and shows the results per question, per engine, with the sample size and confidence level printed next to every number. You see which questions you’re winning, which you’re absent from, and which competitors are being recommended in your place, by name. That list is your content agenda: these are the questions your pages need to answer, structured so an engine can lift the answer cleanly.

5. Proof that the fixes worked

Every number in your report is backed by a stored transcript — the engine’s actual answer, kept. Run the same question yourself and you’ll get what the report says. Then, after you’ve made changes: re-sweep, and compare. Retrievability, citation win, accuracy — measured before, measured after. The plan carries its own verification mechanism, which is the part we care most about. “Prove whether fixes work” isn’t a slogan here; it’s the product’s last step.

What we won’t do

No guarantees of rankings — nobody honest can promise what a probabilistic engine will say tomorrow, which is why we show sample sizes and confidence instead of certainties. No gray-hat tactics, ever. And no number you can’t check: if a result surprises you, the transcript is right there.
